From the desk of: “The Viking” – Work At Home Jobs
In this section of my work at home jobs blog, I will try to update you on what’s going on in this ever changing market.
This last year has clearly shown us witch way everything is heading….namely more spam, more scams and a never-ending series of launches with products that promise you almost “instant riches”.
Statements like: It only take a few clicks to get your hands on $134 267.49 – “Secret loophole” – or “Secret Software” or whatever they claim to push you. And at the end of the day – the unlucky buyer is just scammed – once again.
I do understand the desperation behind many of these “wild hope” purchases – I really do – I have seen it all too many times before. But folks – get real – did you really expect it to work? Did you really dream about waking up next morning to a fat affiliate check? I do hope not.
What we see happen now is damaging to the whole Internet community!
Too really test out what was going on; a select group of my team members have been buying and testing out a bunch of last year’s releases. Everyone has followed ALL instructions – set everything up as explained – and tested it over a period of several months.
So what have they been able to earn with these purchases – (well over $17 000 worth of products and services baought)..Surprice – they DID earn some money – $3 133 to be presice. That’s almost $14 000 on the red – or negative side.
To be honest, we were shocked by this result. I mean, some of these products looked promising at first. Now bear in mind that my team members testing this are all experienced marketers. They all earn from a 5 figure to a seven figure income from online activity. But still – by using these products or services – and by following the instructions – they were NOT able to earn as promised.
So we looked into the reasons behind this sad fact, and we could easily separate the products into 3 groups.
1 – Just plain and simple scams. Software that did not work, outdated software that actually reduced the traffic to the sites they where used on. Software that did not apply to the rules at the sites they were used on, and get banned as soon as a number of people started using them.
2 – Software or services that were made for you to fail. Many of these software where all the same crap – just with different branding. In most cases you would need an “upgrade” at $97 or even $197 to “explode the earnings” as they stated. All we can say is do the math. 1 000 X 0 is still zero. In many cases the same people where behind these different branded launches.
3 – Software from people who knew what they were talking about. People that really used the approach to make a lot of money. I did the testing of some of these my selves. Let me first say, I do not expect too much from something that cost below $100 – but still – Their claims were put to the test.
One of these, some cloned WP site with a lot of plugins – was a scary thing. At first it seemed that it was really driving traffic to the blog – almost on autopilot. It used adsence, clickbank and Amazon to monetize – but even with some 600 “unique” visitors daily – there were NO buying action going on. Some 20 000 “visitors” later – there was 3 views on a clickbank product. Really scary. Investigation around this showed two things – first – much of the traffic just came from a robot pinging the site while changing its IP all the time. Second – a hidden script redirected the real visitors to another link – not mine – stealing the few sales I would have made.
And then finally – in this group also WP clones with a lot of custom plugins – that actually does some of what it claims – but are way too hard for most to set up properly. Things often start out OK – with clear instructions on how to upload and activate the Word Press site. Screen cam movies are mostly used here.
Ok at first – but then things tend to be confusing – the “Guru” behind it that is also showing you what to do – keeps taking these “stray trips” into la la land -jumping from one thing to the other. I do not know if this is on purpose – but the result is the same. In my case I have a difficult time tracking back in my own steps and find something I must have missed. Some of the vital parts just don’t work as they should.
There is of course no pdf or written down step by step instruction – just a bunch of up to one hour videos.
With all that jumping around – I will have to go true several of these to get on track again.
Not very newbie friendly – not friendly for experienced users either.
They had a good support though. At first edits would not update on the site. A good time to test their support. Actually good.
But – would I recommend this product?
No. Not clear step by step instructions. Too many upp sells in the backoffice. This is only going to take the focus away from getting a good foundation in place.
Being asked to write about the work at home jobs and make money from marketing by Steve – I have desided to a series of articles around this subject.
In my next article I will look at some of what I find to be important – and needs to be present in a work at home job offer.
Until next time
